The Full Moon Phase is used in Biodynamic Culture, planting and harvesting by the moon is an encouraged practise.
In the South Pacific we are in the First Quarter to Full Moon phase (18th Feb), at this time the planting of above ground crops with seeds in their fruit i.e. Tomatoes, Melons, Zucchinis etc is encouraged, planting during the correct phase is said to increase the production and general health of the plant.
I encourage you to try planting some plants such as I mentioned this week and then some say a week later and see if you can see any difference.
The two days prior to the Full Moon are the best times for sowing seed, germination will be at its best during this period.
This Phase is also a great time to fertilise, however be watchful for Fungal Diseases as they can be prevalent at this time also.
Be Happy,
Barry
