| Cucumbers mid October |
Update number two for the cucumbers, they are progressing well despite the heat we endured for the last week or so. I had to water everyday to stop them from drying out in the intense sun. The wood shavings helped, without this treatment they would have baked.
Luckily the clover cover crop that I sowed at the same time is starting to cover the soil which will help them get through our hot summer by protecting the soil from the direct sunlight.
I am feeding them liquid fish fertilizer every week to keep them going as well.
