Worms for Organic Fertiliser

Worms are natures miners, they turn waste into nutrient rich castings (Organic Fertiliser), they aerate the soil in the process and will turn bad soil into good soil in no time if given the right conditions.

Worms love a paper and cardboard diet, throw in with these old natural fibre clothes, carpet, food scraps and your house has all the ingredients to multiply the worm population of your garden many times over.

The simplest way to increase your worm population is to apply several layers of newspaper/cardboard/clothes/carpet what ever is lying around to the top of the soil and then cover it with enough bark or lawn clippings etc to keep it in place. Moisten what ever you have laid prior to applying the final coating and let it be, keep an eye on it and re water if necessary.

The worms will sniff out the cardboard etc in no time and devour it leaving behind their nutrient rich castings which feeds your plants.

Repeat the process as many times as you like, every time you put another layer on the population increases each time which improves the quality of your garden and the plants that grow in it.
