Got the first of my Tomato plants in this last weekend, usual story Cow, Chook Manure and Compost in the planting hole and plenty of Mulch on top of the ground.
I have inter planted them with Peppers, Basil and Marigolds. Peppers and Basil as good companions growth wise and Marigolds for pest protection.
I gave then a good soak of Fish Fertiliser, one to add Nutrients to the leaves and soil and second as a pest deterrent.
Also sowed Peas and Cucumbers together direct into the soil, these got a good soak of Fish Fertiliser before I covered them with Mulch, can't wait for my first feed of fresh Peas.
