Foliar Fertiliser

Foliar fertiliser can a very efficient way of getting Nutrients into a plant however there are a few simple rules for success.

1. Don't spray above 25 degs, the cooler the better so the fertiliser doesn't dry quicker than the leaves can absorb it.

2. Timing, early morning is best, evening next best, a cloudy humid day next best.

3. Get as much as you can on the underside of the leaves, the cells on the underside of the leaves are far more efficient at absorbing nutrients.

4. Don't make the brew to strong, 1 part fertiliser to 200 parts water is as strong as it need be.

5. Use Seaweed and or Fish Emulsion with any chemical sprays as these enhance both absorption and help the general health of the plant.

6. Spray regularly, and at critical times ie at planting, flowering, fruit set, preharvest.
