A good pick me up is to lay some animal manure be it Cow-Chook-Sheep doesn't really matter under the plant and then cover this with a healthy dose of compost (50 mm) and water well.
The results will astound you, within a week you will see a marked improvement in the vigor of your plants.
If you are using Chook manure don't cover any more than 50% of the ground as it has more Nitrogen than the other two and can burn.
